About us

Pottporus since 2007, registered association based in Herne, North Rhine-Westphalia.

It's the umbrella for the Young Pottporus, the dance productions of Renegade, the annual autumn Pottporus festival and the Dance School.
Pottporus Association has the aim to promote sustainable creative young people, regardless of (artistic) origin and whether with or without (artistic) education, and to give them a perspective for their work. Through our own development and through the four areas of Pottporus young people have the opportunity to participate and to develop in artistic processes with professional support.

Pottporus takes on trends and developments in the areas of street art - word, dance, image, sound - , and combines them with traditional art forms. Through cooperation with various cultural institutions, this combination will be tested. Pottporus cooperates with different institutions and understands itself as a network of artists, by enabling the development of new ideas.
Pottporus is part of a society that is characterized by a cross-cultural and demographic change. To integrate the trends and impacts of these processes in the artistic work itself Pottporus expose with the reality of human life in the Ruhr. Pottporus redefiens always the own expectation of the own working methods and forms of artistic expression.
